IIRC the GTA series was inspired by the Elite franchise. Openworld where you can decide to be goodie or baddie & explore the consequences.
They are both excellent franchises imo, but appeal to different audiences & GTA's present day context probably has broader appeal in the marketplace.
Me, I have cars irl, I don't have spaceships with ' lazers on IRL

we already got SRVs in the first place..

They really aren't. I love ED, but GTA (V) is one of the best and most beautiful sandboxes one could ever experience in the industry. People play it in different ways. Personally I have never touched online, but singleplayer with good number of mods makes this game shine so bright. Chilling, very immersive, absolute masterpiece.
but how to GTA with SRVs?? That would be GTV ???
Wannabe GTA? Elite can only wish to be as successful as GTA, but sure, now we need that passive mode feature for open play like GTA online
