All the comprehensive guides I have found so far are great. Except they start with a mission that comes well after the first mission. The one that happens when you first log into the game. Five minutes into it and I am completely stuck, preferably be nice to just bypass this part but here I am. The objective is to Clone a Level 3 security profile from a nearby body using the Profile Analyzer. I have already scanned every single body on the entire base, no level 3 to clone. What do I do now. After an hour of searches and checking wiki, guides, nothing.

That body is actually inside the power plant, just next to the stairs from memory. I also ran around looking for that guy.

Well that worked, but 2 steps later I am at the Terminal to locate the data port. It said to use the left right arrows to highlight facility and press A to select. The arrow keys did nothing, I think I pressed A and the terminal shut down. Now it is blank but it still asks me to highlight and select. The game is fascinating so far but so many small errors I am finding, not exactly sure what to think now and I am 4-5 steps into the tutorial.
I doubt you can shut down the dataport. How about a picture of what you're seeing.
I don't know why the terminal would shut down - you have powered-up the base already. The instructions should be to access the terminal, highlight the facility section, select it (E key or A button on controller) - highlight the correct facility - then scroll to the listed "features" then highlight and select the data port - this sets a marker for that (an icon appears next to it) - now the compass tape at the top of your HUD has a marker for that data port with a distance shown. You use that direction and distance information to guide you to the location of the data port - I don't think it shows height though so you have to work out if it is above or below the level you are on.

Note that I accessed a terminal and marked the data port before Art directed me to, so that tutorial trigger didn't come up until I went in search of the port, so I had to access the tutorial's indicated terminal before the tutorial instructions advanced. An issue caused by me knowing what to do and acting too early but the same procedure was followed.
(BTW - I am surprised that they let him get away with swearing in the instructions, although Oddity has a higher PEGI rating it is still inappropriate.)
I didn't carry on recording after the arrival of the scum, I don't want my humiliation so public.
