ED officially supports Vive over Rift?

So i just saw the awesome trailer of Facebook for next ED release. Looks good! But in the end I spotted the Steam and HTCVive sponsorships. Does this mean that FD have traded souls with steam and HTC? Will the Rift be officially supported at all? It would make perfect sense for FD to team up with HTC now that ED already is a steam game.
Thoughts anyone??

I reckon both will be supported...... But (speculation warning) despite ED being the best full VR game to date oculus never did naff all to promote it and seemingly are not helping much now. Valve with vive on the other hand are giving plenty of coverage. If I was FD I know who I would be bigging up most for VR.

You scratch my back and all that.

But as I said, speculation.

I did call this months ago ;) In saying that though, Braben did an interview just recently and he wants both VR devices to work well with Elite. But yeah FD and Valve/HTC Vive are official partners (from the PR alone)

Disappointingly despite having a huge head start....i really dont know what Oculus PR machine is doing, if anything?

If i were releasing a consumer product within 4 months i would be going hell for leather with deals with major publishers (or indie even, anything is better than nothing) to help launch that product! And doing as much PR and marketing of the product as possible.

This is the game launch lineup...doesnt inspire me with confidence.

Frontier cant afford to NOT to support Oculus. Its would just be plain stupid.

So yes, both headsets will be fully supported. Then if they have valve as a official partner, great for them!
But both will still be supported. Again, anything else would be plain stupid from a business perspective.
