ED on my new CV1

so got mt rift about an hr ago ( uk kick starter) :)

have not touched ED for a while , but just logged in to test, first impressions are that the glare is very noticable, but res looks amazing.

Noticed that output seems to be through speakers however not the rift, not sure whats going on there.

currently tinkering and checking other apps etc, will report back later with more in depth thoughts

Saw a similar audio problem elsewhere. If you go to the sound options in control panel there is supposed to be an option to select the default audio out and you can select the Rift.

That's VERY disappointing :( I have a 980ti and was hoping I'd get a smooth experience in ED. Has your friend tried playing with the graphics settings to try to improve the performance?

<edit>Was this running in direct mode or through SteamVR?</edit>

Not sure what FPS i'm getting on my DK2 and 980Ti setup, but ATW goes a long way to ensuring a pretty smooth game with max settings. Saying that, i've finally ordered the Vive after much deliberation..

great to hear that you think the 'res' looks amazing..

Let us know more when you learn how to use the CV1 before the VR threads are inundated...[noob]
