Announcing "ED RIbbon Maker" ...

I got tired of hacking about with GIMP to make ribbons to go in my signature, so I've knocked up a quick tool to do most of the work for you.

It's based around the 260px ribbons initially created by CMDR Qohen Leth (see here).
Note that you'll need to download the ribbons from that thread.

Currently it allows you:-

• Load up ribbons with the name format <name>-ribbon-260.png
• Preview ribbons
• Add / remove from a user list
• Move ribbons up / down the user list
• Add a ribbon "count" (for +ve counts) or "stars" (for -ve counts)
• Set the # ribbons wide / high
• Change the "count" colour
• Change the "count" font
• Save / load ribbon lists (along with counts, colour and font)
• Save the whole ribbon image

Some things I'd like to add are:-

• Set the count colour and font on a per-ribbon basis
• Add some form of font outlining
• Add / remove from a user list
• Allow the image to be scaled when saved

You know ribbons are meant to be earned, right? They aren't like button badges hipsters wear on their jacket showing what they like. They're something that has value because they are awarded for an achievement. If Frontier brought ribbons in for SIGNIFICANT achievements I'd be pleased as punch as I came 1st in a hand full of CG's and war events as a Viper pilot, I'd love to be able to show that off. Or hours spent rescuing others. Or other high level importance things, not just "I like to around in canyons." or "I occasionally hang out with this social group or that social group that around flying aimlessly in space." something important, something contested, something that shows you've achieved something incredibly hard to do, or sacrificed something important for your fellow pilots.

Apart from the fact that no one asked for your opinion, of all the world's tastes you had to choose salt.
If everything is so utterly bad in this game why don't you eff off and let us enjoy said game. This game would be a better place without all the petty salty and bitter prats like you.
