ED RP Server ( HELP DESIGN IT )

Hi there everyone!
Im Crasskitty. I stream this game a ton, and I stream a lot of RP. I thought I should combine the two!

I've had lots of interest in this project from my community and other streamers, but I want the real Elite Dangerous fans to be a part of it too. I've gotten a second account ready to go to host my private group on there.

I have a ton of ideas, but I need a lot of help solidifying and making it all come together. This server will be open to anyone who wants to play who is over 16 years of age (mainly because some people have mature content and I don't want angry angry parents )
I'd like to hear your ideas and if anyone wants to help make this a reality (by the end of the week possibly) let me know.

So here's my ideas so far;

Player made factions will be a thing. I have no idea how we'll identify which faction we are a part of, that's a serious conundrum I've run into.

I'd like there to be an official player run Police, which is limited in size by how many active players are on. Also the police roles would have to have a much more detailed application as they're kind of the people that keep everything running smoothly, enforce world rules, ect.

I'd like to limit the play inside the private group to Leesti, Diso, Orrere and Baijungu and potentially Lave. Reasoning being they are the origins for one, secondly, between them we have lots of landable planets, great metal and metallic mining, a black market, and slaves for sale. I feel this is the perfect place for RP. coming after me and laws and blah blah blah.)

Okay, so that's what I've got. What would you like to see in a rp server for elite?

I'd love as much help as I can possibly get.

This sounds like a nice idea - but you probably picked the worst day of the year so far to pitch it as it seems like EVERYONE is totally pre-occupied with the Horizons beta :)

Interesting. As a dedicated combat pilot (PvP), I'd like to see player faction conflicts. Due to the mode being rp, the faction(s) can somewhat agree on a date so we can have visitors and streamers showing the epic pew-pew on special locations!

That'd be my little addition to the rp group. :)

I would love to be a part of something like that but sadly I think its pointless as you always get kiddies/idiots ruining it for others.

I played WoW for around 5 years and on several RP realms, they all started well but soon enough they were ruined by the above. its kind of hard to engage in and enjoy RP when you have a few naked level 1's dancing next to you and constantly spamming nonsense. I think ED would go the same way if we had RP, the rp fans like myself would join it and soon the morons would flood in and ruin it just "for the lols" because they are sad, pathetic and live shallow empty lives.

So, in theory a big YES!, in practice.. a sad no :(

The OP means to have a private group set up for this, and you have to be older than 16. So, kiddies ruining it is kinda impossible, you can just kick anyone not playing nice right out.

Wow, I love all the encouragement here. My idea is to run it similar to the critical gaming site eventually...so you'd actually have to work pretty hard to get in. But we'd need core players first. Thanks guys, I'll absolutely post when its up. <3
