So the end of the Wangal CG was just 20 minutes away, I still hadn't earned enough to break out of the Top 50% into the Top 25%, and I was looking for a few last bounties to hopefully push me over the top.
Then I accidentally shot a non-wanted ship and BAM! I'm wanted. Had to run from a massive crowd of security ships and couldn't turn my last bounties in without getting blown up, so I went to a nearby low-security system where the Angeli Imperial Enterprises faction didn't have control, docked at a starport and paid off my bounty at an Interstellar Factor contact.
Bounty cleared, I raced back to Wangal with just a few minutes left, got docking permission as soon as I hit 7.5km, boosted like a demon right through the mail slot, docked hard and turned in my bounty vouchers with 20 seconds left in the CG.
Sure enough, those vouchers moved me into the Top 25%, earning me an additional 4.6 million credits. Total reward: 13.8 million for the CG, plus the 3.9 million in bounties I earned. Plus 600k for my token effort in the trade CG (I was in my Space Bee for this one, with only 16t of cargo space, or I would have done more trading).
Grand total: 18,279,183 credits.
