ED, the discover asteroid belt game.

OK so who thought it would be a great idea to reveal each and every asteroid belt in a system?

Flashed up across the HUD like the hud is an irrelevance.

Come on, own up pension focused FD dev? Come on?

Give us reasons to discover asteroid belts - put something in them to make them worth the while.
Make them worth 50 credits. Add 25 for First Discovered.

Make Belts Great. I can't say "again" because they haven't been.

It's the same pillock who thinks it's a good idea to display messages in bright bold letters over top of the info panel (when the same message is actually on the info panel, or would be if you could see the damn thing).

... and thought it a good idea to display the cargo scooped message over top of the cargo scoop so you can't see the next item you want to scoop.


FD really understand Quality of Life. <- try saying that 3 times while keeping a straight face.

Yep, agreed. We need to stamp out all of the arcade-game messages from the in-flight HUD.

Maybe make the messages toggleable (I can see that they -could- be useful on console).

But the HUD -should- be only for flight-critical information.

The top-right and top-left panels would make ideal MFDs. The top-left is currently hard-coded for messages but you can select it to get a bigger view and scroll back etc. The same needs to happen for the top-right panel; allow people to select it to get a bigger view and scroll back through the last lot of messages. Perhaps filter -what- is displayed there and pin specific things to be displayed when not selected.
