You might get Horizons running on it but simply forget about Odyssey. And even that would only work on one of the more gucci models with the bigger storage capacity.

But yeah EDO works pretty much out of the box on Linux, so of course it'd work. Whether it performs well is another matter of course.

Nah, there is some form of moderation even there, or in any other offical forums.
Even YouTube echo chambers have some form of moderation.
Steam's forums are just that: steaming...
looking forward to being able to grab a deck next month or so when they green light my section of the waiting list. Setting up the controls for elite will be interesting and i'm looking forward to see how frustrating or not it'll be compared to the hotas i'm used to.
Someone over on reddit got Odyssey running on the Steam Deck and reported surprisingly decent results, even on foot:
