ed tracker issue

I just started playing Elite and got completely hooked. I soon found myself spending a huge amount of money into a hotas and pedals for the extra immersion. When i found out about the edtracker i was totally excited and ordered the components. Now when i got everything soldered up and started the gui i first tried the testversion of the 9150. Calibrated it, flashed the main sketch and ... nothing. The device is not recognized. Since its just a test version i tried to use the sketch for the 6150. Same thing. After Calibration i flashed the main sketch and the gui doesnt change to drift compensation mode. Anyone out having the same issue and got it solved? What am i missing. Please help! I cant even get myself to play anymore thats how frustrated i am...

yep it is recognized as arduino leonardo in the device manager at the moment. i unistalled the tracker used the debug and wipe sketch and started from scratch again. still the same... everytime i finish calib and flash the main sketch the ui doesnt change to drift compensation interface. when i want to close the program i am reminded that i did not calibrate drift yet. i am totally at a loss. i guess i am missing something :(

Some questions.
1. You built this yourself yes? What components have you used to construct it (maybe a photo)?
2. If you flash the debug sketch in via the UI do you get flashing LEDs on the Pro Micro?
3. Have you done the old button check :)

This video is a good one to start with to check the common problems....

problem solved!

thanks to both of you. its hard to admit but it really was the button. despite watching all the videos and reading the user guide i mixed up the right contact pins. shame on me.
btw i followed the link to the ed tracker thread and realized that the diagram differs from the one on the edtracker homepage, where vcc is not connected to pin 5. Thats what i thought caused my issue at first. before i checked the button at least.

I built it myself and have had the 6050 running happily for a while and I have tried to upgrade to a 9150. Problem is I cant calibrate the device after flashing the new 9150 firmware. All I get is a messed up GUI that says the 6050 firmware is installed. So I tested the 9150 on another identical arduino leonardo and it works fine. Re-checked the connections on my custom wiring job and found that pin 5 was at VCC. So I disconnected that but still no dice. I get alternating flashing LEDs after flashing the debug firmware.

Anyone got any ideas?
