ED Tracker problem with auto-centre

Hi!

Having problems with my ED Tracker 2....

Calibration seems fine and the head responses well in the UI. However, in-game the auto-centering does not "centre" straight forward, but to the side. Anyone had the same problem and know how to fix it??

You might have moved your mouse?

Try turning head look off and on again, default binding is middle mouse button.

Tried that, really weird. Movement works perfectly, but when I want to reset view it turns to the right. If i point my head to the right and then press the reset button i can "compensate" so that when look forward it actually is forward.

As a long shot, you could go into Windows USB game controllers and reset the joystick calibration (ie. wipe it - you don't need to set this up). Otherwise I've no idea why it could offset dead-ahead like that, assuming you're running the standard software and have not fiddled with it in any way... very odd!?

Thx for the responses, i've managed to get it work now. Its awesome! :)

I dont know why i had this problem, and i dont know why its suddenly working, but this is what i did if anyone gets the same problem:

Went to controls in the paus meny. Set to preset empty with both tracker and joystick connected. Then set to preset generic joystick. I tried the game this way and elite thought the tracker was my joystick. Then i re-mapped the headlook to tracker. Then re-mapp all joystickmovements including all buttons. Then it worked. I have an old joystick (10+ Years old) dont know if thats the cause.

Perhaps will have to try this. I had exactly the same when beta 3 came out and I was on the regular ed tracker thread and no one seemed able to help and I seemed to be the only one it was happening to. Then a couple of others mentioned similar faults.

It is strange because in the GUI software it works fine and can be calibrated okay. Its as soon as I try to use it in game. Perhaps the latest build has fixed something that Beta 3 originally messed up.:S
