ED unplayable after Windows 10 update. Rift.

My Rift just won't play properly after the latest update. I can see that previous updates have upset the Rift and uninstalling was the only solution. Has any one else seen this or does anyone have any suggestions? I've re-installed Oculus home and the GPU drivers. I have switched the Windows game mode back off again.

I had to run a repair install on my oculus software yesterday for no apparent reason, so might be worth a go.

Are you sure? Most cards these days stop the fan completely until the card hits a certain temperature.

Pretty sure, ran the card up to 95C no fan. Then used MSI afterburner to force the fan on with no joy. I now remember it used to run the fan up on machine start and now no longer does. Have re-installed everything and still no fan. Seems to work 100% ok until it gets hot.

Yeh, that sounds broken then :(

I've suffered from my fair share of rubbish video card fans in the past. Shame that an expensive card is at the mercy of a cheap fan.

Yeah +1 on that. A £1 part (to them) brings down a £150 card. Amazon have agreed to swap the card for a new one. Oddly they were the cheapest when shopping around so fair dues to them.
