There are times when I'm playing ED on the PS4 and it can be a grind. A second monitor connected to cable TV tells me what is going on in the world and it is not always positive. Thus at times I may end an ED session and watch a few Star Trek:TNG episodes mostly created 27 years ago. Interesting that the PlayStation Netflix has a higher resolution than my Samsung Smart TV versions. Technology moves on.
What bothers me is that many reviews today talk about watching Star Trek: TNG on TVs which used CRTs and were designed more like furniture than the flat screens we use today. The ships were actually models versus the CGI we can now do anything. Still I was part of the computer revolution when Hollywood hired thousands of us to generate 3D computer models. Anything from a Chevy to a Mercedes to a Desert Eagle .44 Magnum paid very well with thousands of dollars. The end result you see on the movie screen today probably has a lot to do with CGI and nothing to do with reality. Still if they are going to pay a major star 18 million to be in a movie I don't see where all our talents to come up with 3D models to make movies cheaper actually worked out.
