Have you ever been out bounty hunting/exploring (whatever) for an extended period and then you look up at the time and it's like "HOLY CRAP!!! I've got work/school (etc) in a few hours. How did it get so late?" This can be a rather immersive game. Or maybe you're tired of converting the Galactic time they display in stations to your local time. If so, I have just written a new app (cause I'm one of the ones who has totally lost track of time). I figured I'd share it with those who would like it.

It is a persistent window that sits in the upper right corner of the display. It comes default displaying the hours and minutes in am/pm format with orange text on a black background (just like in the game). You can display the seconds if you want to. You can make it a 24 hour clock that goes from 00:00 to 23:59. You can change the background and text colors to whatever suits you. The program will write one little .ini file to your applications data folder so the settings you last used will be used the next time you call it up. Below are some screenshots.

Feedback is invited and most heartily appreciated

Oh, and yes. When you make a change to the mode or add or get rid of the seconds display it does take one second to update. That's by design.

1.01 released to fix the hour value of 0 between 12 and 1 am. Also fixed the am/pm not displaying correctly. Link has been updated.

1.02 released to fix the 12/24 hour mode not changing when instructed. Link has been updated.

1.5 released. This uses the Eurostile font which is used in the game menus. Further fixes for the 12:00am to 1:00am problem of showing 0:xx. The clock should now update within 1 second when changing the system time. ED clock is now a single instance application. If it is executed while still running, a popup will inform the user it is already running. On the first run of the program, or if the configuration file has been deleted, the program will present a popup dialog noting this and asking if you would like to create a shortcut to the program on the desktop. The internal version is now 1.5 so any previous color combinations will be default which is the game default of Orange on Black. Link has been updated.

1.51 released. This fixes the time not displaying properly in certain scenarios. This should be the last update as all appears to be working correctly with extensive testing. Link has been updated.

Sorry. Forgot a couple of things. You must be in Borderless or Windowed mode or the clock won't be visible. Fullscreen will cover it completely.

Also, it may show a notice that it may not be safe to run the program. It did on mine once I downloaded it, unzipped it and ran it. Windows defender said it was from an unknown source. Panda has also said programs that I've written aren't safe. This is because it is brand new and hasn't gotten into their database. This is a new scheme by anti-virus/anti-malware vendors. A lot of them use reputation. The program doesn't have any so they say it might not be safe. This is a false positive and it happens more often than you might think. I have included scan reports from both Jotti and VirusTotal and they both show clean on all scanners.

The program also requires version 4 of the .net Framework.

I'd be happy to use the Elite Font. Unfortunately, I don't know what font they use. I have 1 more update planned and will use the Elite font if I can find it. This last one, shows only one digit in the hours between 12 midnight and 1:00 am while in 24 hour mode should be 00:mm (where mm is the minutes) It shows 0:mm instead. Just an oversight on my part. Also, for some strange reason, if you change your system time, the change isn't reflected. I have no idea why. If you restart the app, it shows the correct time, but while the app is running, changing the time or time zone doesn't affect the program until the program is restarted.

Some do. Some don't. And I've found people themselves are weird. Myself included. I'm one of the weirdest people I know:D

Just released v1.51 to fix time not displaying properly at times. Seems the time wouldn't update during certain scenarios. This should be the last fix as everything appears to be working correctly now and I've done extensive testing. Link to the program updated in the original post, but for convenience, the link to the updated program is provided below so you don't have to go back to the original post.
