Release EDDI and HCS (and helper app in general)

When I played roginally I got a little into using HCS then didn't play for a couple years. Now I'm back and settling into the game and getting used to everything again, I was looking to get back to using Voice Attack.

I see EDDI and wonder if I could just use it, it seems to have the same functionality and adds quite a bit more?

I've been reading this forum and watching youtube videos a lot today and yesterday and trying to decide which, if any, more apps to get. So far I installed EDMC and attached API keys from Inara and EDSM.
I am pretty sure I am going to get Mineral Magpie and EDEngineer.

I was trying to decide about EDDI and ED-Void, ED Recon (seems like amazing one), and I actually can't even remember them all. I watched Exigenious video about 15 tools to use.
I don't *currently* do any exploring other than "honking" on systems while flying around. I also don't do any cargo running.

How would someone manage all these apps? Are there people running multiple apps at the same time? ED Recon seems like the most useful one but I can't actually figure out the features of some of the rest and I'm apprehensive about installing and testing them since I'm getting old AF and less savvy all the time.

I use both HCS and EDDI in VA

The latest HCS pack use the Singularity profile. Once that's set up, I install EDDI and import the commands from the EDDI vap into Singularity. Tweak the EDDI voice a bit and it all works pretty well together.

There's a command to Open EDDI using VA, but it rarely recognizes "EDDI" correctly so I edited the commands to "Open Data" so that I can call EDDI gui from VA to do things like send a ship build to Coriolis.

HTH - it's not entirely all that easy, but it works very nicely once you get it right.
