Release EDDiscovery 18.X is now out! New modules panel upgrade and Engineering

Can you do a github or discord post of them.. It does not stop EDD working but it would be nice to work out what is happening. We have passed thousands of logs thru it but maybe we have missed stuff.

Getting a lot here too, but not all that many given the number of log entries it's going through. Something to do with Thargoid occupied systems or systems visited by carrier perhaps? Additionally it looks to be trying to read livery items as ship modules. (I've no idea what I'm doing, but hopefully the attached log give some clues)
Note: I'm in Live but Horizons only, hence the unknown suit/actor.

The vanity modules are being shown so we can pick up more of them as known. I'll add them to the database

The entries in the log above indicate frontier is writing empty economy and security strings. Maybe you imported jumps from EDSM (that is one idea). Anyway the next version will cope with empty strings.

Nowhere near the number I am getting, but I am an explorer so maybe I've hit a lot more systems with empty economy and security strings. It does occur to me, I also have a large number of entries from very early on where only the jump and basic data and nothing else is recorded to the log files and it appears to be from that period since they all list at the very beginning of reading the journal files. These sorts of entries;

Does this mean EDD is reporting basic data back to you? If so, I'll log in to all my commanders tonight, and switch to each of their ships. Just doing my part if it helps

Edit: NM, I just read through the license agreement while installing 18.0.2. It states no data is collected by the developers.

I don't approve of programs doing telemetry back to a server, so you'll never see EDDiscovery doing something like this.

I have an odd problem with the voice packs in the new version. It seems that voice packs I'm uninstalling because of a newer version existing don't actually get uninstalled. Instead I'm getting the text read out twice after installing the newest pack. Trying to downgrade to the previous version results in the text read three times. Now I've uninstalled all voicepacks in the addons manager and still get everything read out three times.

Edit: Restarting EDD seems to have fixed it, it's now actually silent.

Your updates above are not in this list, but will be in 18.0.5

I will do a release again by the end of the weekend. Sorry for the churn, but this is the only way to find them out.
