Edit: Rather than start a new thread, I'm editing the following to say: I have now encountered a bug/issue every single time I've played PZ since release. I am absolutely fed up with it. I've tried to stay in good spirits about it, submitting bug reports and bringing things up here but I feel like I should just step away from the game and come back in a couple of months. I won't be recommending it to anyone until the game is playable and so far I'm struggling to get Franchise mode to work, I am struggling to get Sandbox mode to work and the career/campaign is worst of all. I said after the beta I felt it was in the best interest of the game to delay it as it had many issues and the response to my concerns about the state of the game in other discussions was that this game was "100% ready".

But there are game breaking bugs. Patches that seem to introduce new bugs. Now I'm getting random crashes.

I don't like to post things that are overly critical as I believe that the Frontier devs are talented and that they do work hard and the decisions that have been made are probably made by individuals who are higher up in the food chain. But at the same time, I paid money for this and it doesn't work. The experience it provides, such as the puppy-mill aspect to franchise mode, aside (as all that is subjective and that all functions at least) - the game needs a button for a mechanic to come rush and fix it.

Hello all,

Has the recent patched changed how education boards work? Before I'd have a drop down list of animals that were currently in the zoo but now I'm only getting about half of the animals that I do have. Is it research based now or a bug?

The drop down list will only show species that are within a certain distance of the boards/speakers. If that's not your issue it could be a new bug.

My bison were closest to the board and yet the list only had animals that were on the opposite side of the zoo.

Very weird. Does picking it up and placing it back down fix it? Are the new ones you place also bugged?
Wondering if you duplicated it from somewhere else in the zoo and it hasn't updated properly. Might be worth sending them your save if it's super borked so they can take a look at it.

This wasn't an issue before as all of them have the bison listed until I went to change some to the pronghorn which I added to the exhibit. Now, along with the pronghorn, the bison are no longer visible. I will try replacing them.
