Editing Names in The Trade Center

If you're like me you probably have a lot of animals in your trade center, not necessarily to put on the market but as non-aging storage as plans for various zoos. My problem is I'll have a great idea for an animal to add to a specific zoo, but if I am not playing that particular zoo right then, those animals may get moved to another zoo oh a whim because I forgot why I bought them in the first place. Or by the time I get around to playing that zoo again, I forget what my plans were.

One thought is to have some type of tag on animals in the trade center that we can choose what zoo they're for (much like how they show what zoo they're from now).

The other, easier thought is to just let us rename them in the center. For example with that, I can take my striped Hyena, Mamira, that I've gotten to eventually include in my Whispering Sands Zoo and rename her Mamira WSZ...or however anyone might have to organize them; zoo abbreviations work best for me. We can put them in a zoo and rename them, then move them back to the trade center with those new names intact, but that can get laborious.

That would work. Or have a separate small "trade center" staff building, that doesn't tie directly into the main trade center and doesn't age the animals or affect their wellness like quarantine does. Even if it was just like 8 spots for animals, that would probably take care of the next 2-3 species you'd want to put in the zoo.

I really feel like we need something for this at least. It's all good and well if you're only playing a handful of zoos. I have nearly 30 franchise zoos. With the exception of one I mainly focused on the last half of 2021, I jump around a lot. I may have a good idea for the next additions for one I'm playing, but then I don't play that one for a month. Those next additions may already be used.

I do use spreadsheets to try and organize this, but having something in game would be incredibly helpful.

I too would love to be able to rename animals from the trade center.

One trick that I use as a work around (apologies if this is obvious), is that if I start to move an animal from the trade center to the zoo, but instead of placing it in a habitat I place it somewhere else (path or just empty space), the animal will then show up in my zoo list as being in the trade center, even without having to place it or have it age. It's still quite tedious, but I am now able to rename it on the zoo list without actually having placed it or having to wait for someone to deliver it to a habitat.
