I have been looking at the community messages generated by EDMC and there are plenty for journal, outfitting and shipyard schemas but only occasionally are commodity schemas being sent. Also when starting the game, (landed at Wicca Town, gateway) I get the message "Error: Frontier server is down" as EDMC tries to either receive or transmit commodity costs and prices etc. So something is amiss - let us hope it is sorted soon or my trading performance will suffer.
Interestingly commodity data is generated occasionally - about once every 2 minutes. Before the change it was about once every 5 secs. Hope you are right about API access.
FDEV have changed the auth mechanism for the cAPI that EDMC relies upon.
The trouble is that the new method is not yet in place, nor do we even know what it will be.
Once we have this information devs for the various tools that use it (including EDMC) will be able to write the necessary code to use the new system.
