EDO on xBox One via Steam & GeForce Now query

It would require a pc account with edo activated, but it would allow to play ED on an XB assuming a stable internet connection.

Now idea how good it would work, but for €20 per month for RTX3080 access and 1440p resolution - that would cover the costs for a €1500 gaming rig for like 75 months
Not bad at all given the fact that one could play as a couch potato on XB+BigTV or on the road using a tablet

I tried it a few weeks ago, using the Edge browser on my Xbox, a free GeForce now account and my free epic copy of elite.

I can use my Xbox controller with it, the resolution isn't up to a series X but it's acceptable. As I was using the free GeForce account there was a bit of a wait to connect (a queuing system that paid accounts get preferential treatment ) and you have to reconnect every hour. It was ok as a test, so I actually bought Odyssey and it runs OK.

My thoughts are that I'll never have a pc that will run modern games so even paying for premium GeForce account it'll still be cheaper than building a pc and updating every so often.

My thoughts exactly and brilliant news so now I just need Frontier to confirm whole account transfers from XBox to Steam and I will buy ED again and EDO on Steam, thanks for your info.

Omg...trying to give this whirl but steam wont let me through captcha

Anyone trying to sign up to steam through Edge should use the sound option for Captcha....sigh

When you sign in to stream to link Nvidia to steam. The Anti Bot human verification Captcha service (Completely Automated Public Turing Test To Tell Computers and Humans Apart) can trigger as your using a third party service server to link to steam...
If you have not done it recently, you will have to do the test again...

I have been playing Ody using GeForce Now since Christmas. It's doable on Xbox using the Edge browser. But I found the start up process a bit cumbersome only using the controller. But it is possible to make it work.

Ah that, I had to do that test a number of times on my laptop before it worked and accepted me on Steam which I then linked to GeForce Now after which I just had to log on on my XBox and now, when I open Edge, on the Xbox , GeForce Now is there and linked to Steam.

Thanks again all, I now play Odyssey on my XBox One via Geforce Now and Steam with my UHD TV but the graphics aren’t up to much, blurry HUD and written words in particular, i pay for the Priority GeForce Now access (Premium Rig, whatever that is) but as i am totally ignorant of all PC Gaming jargon I’m wondering if I upgrade to the Premium access and the RTX 3080 rig, would it improve the graphics? Would purchasing an XBox One X make any difference? Advice gratefully accepted.

Na to get better picture requires native OS app or Chrome powered stand alone app, and you turn up the settings every time on boot off the game...
Web browsers are limited as You have 2 upscalers... Theres the Upscale that Edge does when going full screen from 1080p feed and then the filter/scaler 4K feed of the console...

Its like the old days were using Higher res LCD screen made the image worse than CRT as the upscaling messed with the picture...
Browser Geforce now was built for Chromebooks with tiny 12 inch screens at 1080p or lower at 60fps...

But by paying for the RTX3080 will allow for 1440p resolutions.
Wouldn't that help reduce the blurring when running on 4k screens?

1440p is not supported on web browsers only on native OS app for PC/Mac and Nvidia shield native app...
