EDSM Date Error since I updated - can't load logs

So I finally set off on my trip to SAG A*. Before I left I updated my flight log in EDSM to April 2nd. But only set off yesterday - After an update. When I came to input my +/- 1000 ly progress from yesterday I got this error:

I checked the log files and the headers at least are different in format:

Log Entry Header on April 2nd 2017 [Note format of date in first line]

Anyone else seeing this with EDSM?

Looks like those are the net logs and not the player journal logs? I'm guessing EDSM needs to journal logs, default location being c:\Users\<Your User Name>\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\

OK but these are the same logs I've always loaded and the log whose header I displayed from 2nd April loads in fine...

Well that is odd. I was told originally to use the netlogs and indeed the upload tab on the flighlog page in EDSM refers to this...

But now I guess that doesn't work. So I took you advice and used the journal log which did!

Yeah, looking at it, EDSM does accept netlog files, and looking at it, the date format of the logs did change. Hmmm...

ETA based on your edit...EDSM CLAIMS to take netlog files, but I have never manually uploaded those...always had EDDiscovery do it, and since 2.2, I have been using the player journal

I am wondering if this is the kind of issue the third party developers were upset about with the silent changes that keep being made...frustrating for sure.

The netLog format was indeed updated without notice in 2.3, so I added support for the journal files.

I will add a notice tomorrow.
