EDTracker Calibration Help

I should have my new parts tomorrow so hopefully will get that one working properly. The housing ive designed to fit into the ski goggles for the HMZ T1 Optics should be ready for Friday so hopefully ill be VRing in Elite by the weekend.

As for the gun thing the EDTracker doesn't have any knowledge of its elevation then. Not sure why I thought it would. That doesn't matter though the main thing I want to do is just have one attached to a PS Sharpshooter rifle which I can Bluetooth to PC for buttons and the built in joystick to move (w,a,s,d) and use the EDTracker on it to to operate mouse/aim and one on my head for separate free look in Arma 3 etc. I can just toggle a button to aim down scope its not a deal breaker just thought it would be a nice feature to aim down scope automatically as you brought it up to your shoulder.

I thought even for other games that don't support separate head tracking you could have a button to press to switch mouse control to your head then back to the rifle once released, although this could pose some other problems in coordination and take some getting used to, look left aim right, fall over : )

Would your EDTracker program see two devices as separate ones automatically then as they are on different com ports, and therefore could I just do everything I want, ie separate head and gun straight off?

Well my new boards turned up, swapped them for the original 2 and they worked straight off as they should.

After testing it out I thought I would see whether it was the Arduino Pro Micro or the MP6050 at fault, so I swapped one at a time with the working parts, turns out that both boards were knacked. My only guess is that having all the pins in at first fried both the boards as they were from separate sellers!

Yeah I have checked the wiring and swapped it round the opposite way on the breadboard to eliminate the it being a faulty breadboard as the cause. Was hoping that it was something that could be fixed software side but feared it was a hardware fault. If I carry on to the next stage anyway it seems to work fine in the y rotation and therefore can nod the head (yes) but the x rotation is completely dead. Once I get the new parts ill check which part is faulty once I have a working EDTracker.

Out of interest whilst I have you on here Brumster, I was wondering whether any of you guys have tried or thought about using a secondary EDTracker for a gun controller, for use with games like Arma 3 as that supports separate Head Tracking. I tried it with a wii mote for tracking and the PS Sharpshooter for buttons and joystick functionality back along but never managed to iron out all the kinks with the wii mote tracking. Ideally would like two EDTrackers one head one gun with VR Headset for full 360 point and shoot. Even better if the to devices could calculate height between them and therefore zoom when gun was brought up to your shoulder!! Just thought I would try and plant that seed in the hope someone might grow it for me, hint hint ; )

A sensor such as the MPU-6050 or MPU-9150 can only be used for orientaion. Position is the second integral of the returned acceleration so mathematical errors would cause the system to numerically explode.
