EDTRACKER ISSUES

hey all.

I apologize if this has been posted. I'm having trouble finding a solution to my problem via search, or google. I have an older ED tracker. I have it setup through the GUI. I set the movement in ED control options. it appears as x and y jostick movements... however that same input is being used by logitech 3d pro. I have no idea how I'm supposed to unbind those two from each other. windows sees the two devices as seperate hardware but ED doesnt. plz help!!

I'm not sure I understand the bit about the Logitech 3D Pro, but the way I have the EdTracker is working is not by assigning it to headlook but by running a program called opentrack, which exposes TrackIR/opentrack protocol to games. In this way, you should leave headlook bindings in ED blank.

I like to use opentrack because it allows for response curve editing.

How do you get opentrack to detect Edtracker? I cant seem to get it to move the octopus at all.

Tracker: Joystick input (Click the "..." button and hopefully you'll be able to select the EdTracker)

Protocol: freetrack 2.0 enhanced

'Start' also needs to be clicked.

Nothing show in the drop-down except for my X52 and VJoy. The latter shows up as I installed FreeTrackNoIR to see if I could get it working.

Its a fresh install of Windows 7, so is there something else I have forgotten to install?

Does the "EdTracker2" or similar show up in 'Devices and Printers' from the Windows Control Panel? If not, maybe a driver needs to be installed?

This looks right, and the HT works fine in the GUI from https://www.edtracker.org.uk/.

EDIT :

Just realised it should be Leonardo, not Uno. So I deleted the device and driver and reinstalled with the correct driver, but still wont show up in Opentrack.

EDIT 2: ** SOLVED !! **

So edtracker wont work if plugged into a USB 3 port. Doh! Works fine now in a USB2 port.
