I have gotten in the habit of picking up any mission I come across and completing most of them. Having said that, I do abandon or fail to complete a fair amount of them.
Are there negative repercussions for failing to complete missions?
err yeah, that would be itThanks Andy. This makes sense. I work my butt off grinding missions out for a faction, and then log back in to find that my reputation has shifted to Unfriendly. It must be all of the missions that I abandon / fail.
ALL missions affect your rep. You are confusing that with rep only missions. (that don't pay you and JUST affect your rep)I believe a mission that may affect your rep or credits will say so in the mission text.

Yes, but as I said ALL missions will affect rep, regardless of any text, and that's what's being discussed. No, I am saying, that some missions impose fines for failure. It is written in the Mission text.

my bad! got sidetracked by another postThe OP asked about the effects of not completing a mission. His question did not specify rep only. I mentioned that some missions have a financial impact upon failure. It's all good. You can mention rep if you like.
