Eggs and nests?

I’m hoping these are added to the game later (Frontier, you’ve done such an amazing job so far and incorporated so much detail and realism!) but I haven’t seen any eggs or nests yet.

It would be wonderful if, day, make ostriches made a nest and courted females. Females ostriches laid their eggs (which would just spawn, like baby animals now) and then the male could sit on the eggs from time to time. Then the eggs disappear and babies spawn in their place.

I’d love to see this in game! Will eggs be added soon?

I hope it's already in the current build. I guess we don't get too see it bcause its an Alpha version on Gamescom. But if not I really hope they add it.

Hopefully, but sadly, as of now, there's footage of the ostrich not laying eggs at all, and just having the babies appear in the exhibit. Hopefully Frontier just didn't implement any of the animations for animals giving birth, or any of the animations for eggs, or we may end up with birds and reptiles having live births..

Voids light, are you aware that some reptiles do give birth to live young? Pythons and boas do.

I also hope to see this mechanic in the base game. Has it been confirmed yet if pregnant animals are bisually clearly pregnant at the late stages of pregnancy? That would be interesting too, as well as the presence of nest/eggs in appropriate species. Both realistic, and gives a visual build up to the excitement of a new animals joining the zoo soon. Just having a birth or babies instantly appear is alright, the point gets across, but it could be so much better then that.

I want to see the eggs hatch maybe an incubator or a room for this to occur? Like the vet room we can see all these chick hatch and then let them roam free!!!
I hope, the Eggs will hatch in the Exhibit too if they are cared for (Birds) and if the Environment has the right temperature (Reptiles). But a Incubator could be used if the Parents die or something like that and it would be useful for Reptiles because at least some Reptiles hatch as male at a particular temperature and as female at another Temperature 🐊

I noticed that in one of bestinslots streams, the animal gave birth before the estimated time. Not to mention that the amount of animals that are born are way too many. The peafowls alone had so many of them for just two of them breeding. I'm sure this is all just for this build of the game, and its better in the retail version.

I think it's okay, that's what it is, it must be a real animal simulation game, it's normal for many babies, depending on the species, this happens in real life. The issue is that time passes very fast, and because of this it looks very explosive, but this happens because it is only the demo, when the game is over, I guess all this will look better with the most stable time.
