Ehm... Colonia fuel rats?

Well, Vasea is incompetent moron of a commander and run out of fuel 45 jumps from Colonia. Very embarrassing end to supposedly epic journey. Is there even a point of calling Fuel Rats - do they operate near colonial space or will I just make even more on an idiot out of myself? I`m considering samurai way of dealing with this failure and boosting to my Conda in to nearest asteroid.

Well since the nearest fuel rat would need to spend 3h of his real life to get to me I decided to end the journey, I messed up and there is no way I could ask random guy to haul his bottom this far just to fix my mess. Taking a LONG brake from the game now, all blame on me, zero on Elite.
Collision course!

Nooooo! All that exploration data.

To be honest we enjoy the long range ones... At least I do when I'm fuel ratting, although I'm an odd fish... If you haven't hit the planet yet please re-consider that the Fuel Rats enjoy rescues, especially the explorer rats because it breaks up a lengthy journey and provides a bit of excitement to light a fire in the engine room and hot-foot it several thousand ly across the galaxy to save someone.

In the end its up to you but don't feel you are inconveniencing the rats, all rescues are voluntary, if we don't want to take a rescue we don't call distance/jumps and therefore don't get picked for said rescue.

Thanks but I already made a nice crater on the icy moon. If not fuel I would probably mess up other way tomorrow, one need to be ready to make the great journey, Vasea is not.

This deserves a good HAHA indeed!

OK, so you took a spectacular way out! However, the Fuel Rats do what they do because they WANT to help other Players. If you are unfortunate to find yourself in a similar situation in the future please remember that. You are actually ADDING to their gameplay!

If you read the "End of the Road" thread you will see that Chiggy travelled over 40,000LY to effect a rescue. Not only was Felix grateful, so was FDev. Both of the relevant systems were renamed to commemorate the rescue.

Which planet did you lawndart that Anaconda into? I'd like to go and explore the wreckage, find out what the Anaconda is actually made of.
