I have never seen a game so wrecked and vandalized by an expansion or update as Elite has been by this absolute train wreck called Odyssey.
I am not going to repeat all of the myriad of ways that the work experience kid has destroyed the Elite experience with this sorry excuse for an expansion that we are currently being forced to pay to beta test, after people were charged extra to alpha test this monstrosity.
I will repeat some of them tho..
Such as the reduction of graphic fidelity in certain areas of the game.
The insane performance hit being experienced by myself and many other players even on very capable machines
The absolutely brainless mess, made of the UI on foot, in the Galaxy and in the System maps.
The only half-implemented control bindings for playing on foot.
and never mind the plethora of bugs and game crashes players are having to deal with, try to troubleshoot and ticket in this, sneaky, unofficial barely a beta test.
Seriously FDEV!
Why oh why? and who and how did you manage to nuke our Horizons version of Elite into such a backward abomination?
So, I won't be bothering with odyssey any further, It is an insult and offence to your loyal players and, if these ahh, UI, err, "impr,,cough,,cough,, ovements. cough, are implemented into horizons in a few months then my 7 year journey {since launch} with almost seven months of actual in game play time will come to an end.
It's a bitter, bitter disappointment that the same company who gave us Elite Dangerous and then Horizons now thinks that such a backwards, unthought out, unimaginative mess is an acceptable offering to their players.
