Ejection sequence?

Does anyone know if there is going to be an ejection (manual) sequence, followed by an animated ejection and... Maybe hibernation engaged animation, before you wake back up in a new ship / station?

I'm just recalling the original novella, and it would be really emmersive and cool.
 
Eject pods are definitely to be in the game, how it looks or how it will work is as yet unknown... but it will be awesome!
 
AFAIK you will HAVE to manually eject in ironman mode. If you don't manually eject, you will permanently die. So there should be a manual eject button. I might have gotten this wrong though!
 
I really can't wait for all the features to come. I was a big Frontier fan back when I was a young teen. Used to skip half days of school to come home and play when mom was at work :D

Coming from Star Citizen, which has yet to hand me anything to really get excited about - I'm totally amp'd for Elite Dangerous. I really can't wait to see what all is to come in the future!
 
In the Alpha we have heard the ship computer saying "Eject, Eject ,Eject" at time when it's all gone horribly wrong.

Just a quick note to Sandro and Mike Evans. This is one thing where we want/need a key binding. When the time comes that your only chance is to eject, you don't want to be scanning through menus on the UI just find the eject button.

Indeed, and instinctively I've been hitting ESCAPE despite it not having the desired effect. (ERROR = 17)
