Anyways, my buddy & i have been having so much fun delving into this amazing Space-sim we thought it couldn't hurt to form our own fresh SQUADRON and see if perhaps we can't start building a select coalition of like-minded chill type pilots ( vets or newbs, np ) who might appreciate teaming up every now & then amidst the dark cold cosmos.
-- We're also in the process of hopefully soon bringing over a few more former players of both SWTOR/Galactic Starfighter , as well as of course from our ole favorite SWG/JumpToLightspeed .Obviously, we've just barely begun scratching the surface ( pun intended ) of everything EliteD 'Odyssey' has to offer , but we're def. in it for the long haul ! ( pun #2 )

-- *For myself personally, i've sorta naturally aligned with The EMPIRE , but technically our squadron is still "Independent" and so whenever we inevitably decide which facton/superpower to fully commit our pledge toward , i will update this thread my OP. ( with 'PowerPlay 2.0' revamp coming up , we just aren't sure yet and might hold off committing until then )
-- And yes we would like to eventually work our way up the in-game squadron leaderboards , but we're in no rush and are probably slightly more "casual" gamers than super duper "hardcore" or whatever.
-- Our squadron name 'Elden Wing' is indeed a blended tribute to another superbly immersive game, Elden Ring
-- We do TYPE quite a bit ingame green chat , especially during long Space jump travel , but it's strictly about Elite Dangerous related topics only ( no RL talk, sorry! ) ....and we certainly aren't considered like a truly chatty voice comms 24/7 "social" guild. Just not our thing, since toooo busy playing the game. ( imho, unless needed for big PVP, any other voicechat breaks immersion and plus the onboard SHIP's computer voice is enough!
