Anyone else play on Xbox?
General / Off-Topic Elder Scrolls Online.
I started back a couple years ago but barely got out of the start area. Think I got put off by the boxing into a particular class or some such
Play it on PC. Enjoy it a ton. So much effort on voiced NPCs, the environment, the crafting. I haven't even scratched the surface. Not a fan of the trading guilds (prefer Guild Wars 2 market). Builds feel a little static (immob->dot->spike-> repeat) relative to GW2. I haven't tried the ESO WVW or PVP but would like to.
I use to play it A LOT on xbox one but started on PC.
Its hit or miss with some issues the game has now....also it seems their focus is to over monetize things with locking QoL behind paywalls but they advertise no required subscroption

As a longterm fan of TES I hope everything it's done and may do will be tossed into a bin and considered non-canon, as they're kinda ruining future TES's in terms of lore and future depictions of lands.
Sooooo.... nope, I do not play ESO, and I have a simmering amount of nerdish resentment towards it.

I know, I know. I purchased loot crates. I'm a terrible person.
What am I on about? Well, last night I decided to spend a tenner on Crown Crates in ESO. I know, I know...
But regardless, I did.
And guess what I got!
Apex reward! Frostbane Horse mount! I've got a Nord-as-heck mount!
That chance purchase just gave me the mount of my dreams!

im giving some thought about trying this game out on PC. its on sale on steam right now for the standard edition... which includes Morrowind.
My question is this..
If i buy upfront the standard edition and i register and create my account... do i need to input a credit card number which Zenimax keep stored online?
I have no intention of paying for the Plus+ account or throwing money at the microtransaction.... i simply want to check out the base game plus morrow wind DLC (cash upfront) no nonsense no numbers stored..
Install the game. create my account. no money. no credit details needed.. job done.
Is this the case?
