I remember that one of our Explorers who is currently far far away , has this as a home world.

Sorry to say the whole area is infected , the new CG`s are slightly odd too , there are NO tiers,
it just starts at zero and at the top says SUCCESS.
So being your neighbour (only 100ly away) I`m helping out

ps. Dajoar and 20 Ophiuchi are infected too

Thank you CMDR!!! Yes, in fact I received a distress call from SANTJALAN updating the grave situation in ELEU.

The EES Orinoco is now on full speed back home, but even that means three weeks at the current pace!

CMDR Artan is helping with his fully kitted Annaconda, trying to hold the fort until I come back. There are other three CMDRS that are absent this week and probably next due to vacations.

From the reports I'm getting, this is not an NPC generated war. I strongly suspect this is being driven by CMDR's who are trying to expand Hudson's network. For the time being, they are trying to flip the system from Independent to Federation.

ELEU is and has always been an Independent system, and whereas has always maintained a Federation Embassy, our relations were never sour, rather friendly.

This is a change for the worse and I suspect is due to Hudson influence: he is the closest of the Powers from ELEU and coincidentally he is Federate.

I'm in despair and any help is appreciated but is hard to gather CMDR's to fight my cause while I make it there for three weeks. Unless CMDR Artan and his mighty ship can hold our enemies at bay, I'm afraid I would have to regain the system when I come back.

It is now that I notice there is a NEW Community Goal related to this disease that you speak of!!!

But it turns out that is coming hand in hand with a Civil War state that we have had for the last few days with the Feds!

I was aware of the civil war, not about a disease too, wreaking havoc in ELEU!!!

I will never make itback in 6 days for the CG anyways but all help is appreciated in any of both fronts: the civil war against the feds, and the meds against this disease!!!

I am currently away from home computer so can't verify the current status, specially after the CG kicked off. But here is he thing: Finney Dock, the capital of ELEU, has been under the control of the Social Eleu Progressive Party (SEPP) for ages, and ages, and is now being attacked by the Energy Corporation, a Federal Faction.

ELEU has a closed and tight relationship with its High Tech Twin System, SANTJALAN (2.86ly away). Earlier this year, the SEPP led a revolution against the tyrannical corporation that was running the system and effectively expanded into Santjalan after a Civil War.

The current political structure of the combo of systems is as follows:

ELEU (Agricultural-Democracy-SEPP)
-Finney Dock (Capital-SEPP)
-Bao Terminal (SEPP)
-Elder Station (Liberty Party -Independent - Dictatorship)
-Bradshaw Industrial Outpost (Liberty Party - Independent - Dictatorship)
-Pierce Gateway Commercial Outpost (Energy Corporation - Corporate - Federation)
-Tem Station (Energy Corporation - Corporate - Federation)

SANTJALAN (High Tech - Corporate - SEPP)
-Cantor Terminal (Capital - SEPP)
-Martinez City Scientific Outpost (SEPP)
-Tavares City Outpost - (Jet Corporation - Mafia)

The two things that are currently going on:

CIVIL WAR FOR THE CONTROL OF FINNEY DOCK BETWEEN SEPP AND ENERGY CORPORATION:

We need to regain and prop up influence of the SEPP and defeat the Energy Corp ships. Two CZ should be set up in nearby planet to Finney Dock. Fight and destroy as many of their ships as possible and collect vouchers at Finney Dock. Be aware that I suspect there are real CMDR's behind this undermining of power of the SEPP as traditionally there was no interest from the Federation in our system, and it had a pretty low influence.

Run Missions from the SEPP from Finney Dock/Bao Terminal. That boosts its influence in the system.

Trade goods from to Finney Dock/Bao Terminal. That aslo boosts influence.

Take missions for the Energy Corporation, then drop them. That makes them lose influence.


MEDICAL GOODS TO ASSIST FINNEY DOCK IN FIGHTING OFF VIRUS - COMMUNITY GOAL

Bring Basic Medicines to Finney Dock.

The closest sources, and best options are: Bao Terminal - without even leaving ELEU you can go to this terminal, also SEPP, and get BASIC MEDS to sell to Finney Dock.

If you are interested in selling other items besides the medicines - Go to SANTJALAN - Cantor Terminal (SEPP controlled)- you can buy meds and also Land Enrichment Systems to sell back to Finney Dock.

Hope this helps CMDR's...I'm trying to provide as much help as possible based on my knowledge of the systems...althought my main database is back at home.

The nearest place I go to is SANTJALAN.
I only get a couple of hundred profit for them and taking Liquor back to SANTAJALAN cheers them up

then went out and completed a few for the home team - unfortunately the pc black screened just as I was about to blow a pirate Python out of the sky with my newly acquired turreted beam laser (19MCr!!!!) and as it was late I called it a night.

I'll be back again and will stick around ferrying medicines and being the sand in the energy cogs

I was able to advance some 2k light years closer home...still 18k ly away... also I checked and the CIVIL WAR is over: the Energy corp won the war...but still just 42% of influence, that's hardly a victory!

So I commend your good doings in making their life miserable and continue the mission run for SEPP and dropping theirs!

Since doing business with their markets improve points, having this community goal activated in Finney Dock that is now Energy Labor owned might make things a little bit harder...but we'll eventually win!

Trade CGs tend to exhaust nearby supplies very quickly, expecially in stations, as trade CG players obviously favour the big freighters, so the unavailability is probably temporary.

The Nomad stands ready to assist Eleu Kancro, I'm only 3K from Sag A* and I cannot hope to make the same speed as I did on the way out, but I shall try to manage at least 10Kylies per night and should arrive at Eleu early on Saturday.

What The Nomad lacks in cargo capacity, she more than makes up for in speed and so I shall deliver the finest medicines in the galaxy to the stricken people of Eleu, including the fabled Waters of Shinrata.
