Elevator / Lift Transport Ride

Frontier,

Because you have done such a good job of making this game accommodate very different levels of elevation, floating islands, underground caverns etc with the excellent terrain editor, there is not an easy (and compact) way of getting your guests from one location to another vertically.

Some suggested features:
It would be great to have something like this that allows queuing & exits at the top & bottom of the ride (or even on multiple levels??)
It could also incorporate an option to attach additional elevator shafts to the side of the existing ride, which would also use the same queue line, to increase capacity
Custom Elevator shaft construction (sections variable from 4m-20m for example)
Self-tunnelling when building underground
possible additional "Mine Shaft" type scenery pieces for community to add detail.

Here some pictures of real-world stand-alone elevators for inspiration:

More transport types (especially those that deal well with changes in terrain height) would be great.

Cable cars (hanging seat, and pods), boats, lifts.

One thing I'd like to see is transport that flows rather than with queues. Escalators are common in buildings (perhaps not so much in themeparks, but still).

Would love to see a travelator that just increases walking speed. Would be excellent for sci-fi areas.

More transport!

Also travelators will help reduce energy levels for guests :)

agree, i miss the ski-lift transport from RCT3 or a 'gondolas' type thing. i would much rather my guests go from point A to point B looking down seeing all the different things to do, plus takes up less space too. the elevator from RCT3 as well, my next park is going to be a vertical park and an elevator would really come in handy.

An elevator would be great for hotels, etc. especially Embassy Suites type hotels with an open atrium where the balconies overlook the atrium. We got the observation tower but it is big and only has one place to get on and off, the bottom. RCT2 and 3 had an elevator with multiple stations possible. 2's was square but 3's more modern circular design in glass. Speaking of glass, why can't they give us flat glass panes for windows like RCT3? Since hotels in PC are fake anyway, then elevators can be fake, too. Just make doors at each floor to represent an elevator, or for glass elevators make the shaft, doors, and the cabin as a separate object that can be raised and lowered.
