elite 1984 save on exit

I am playing elite 1984 and cannot save on exit. Keeps showing disk error. does the BBC emulator save and if so how?

You can definitely save the game in BeebEm...

1. Go to File>disc options>new disc 1 and name it "EltSaves" or something
2. Use the @ key in-game and option 2 to save your Commander to "EltSaves" in drive 1

If the game reports the disc is write protected, that can also be changed in the File>disc options menu.
