Community Event / Creation Elite art that's so old, I'm willing to bet most of yur were not BORN yet when it was painted...

I just went through a very old and failing garage that stored a ton of my old things, and found one thing that surprised me by still being intact, or even exiting.

A painting of the game Elite I made when I was in my teens. Early teens, I think... Pretty sure it was painted back in the mid 80's for high-school. Or middle... Really hard to say.

Boy that was a looong time ago.

And for the record, yes. I went into game design, 3d art, and computer programming.

Having seen the forum polls on the age range of people playing ED, I'm pretty sure that a sizeable chunk of us remember the original game. Heck, I was born at a time when we were still sending men to the moon.

I was born before JFK told them; to go there.
....and there was no electronics, we had pirate radio. It was called, a crystal set.

I was born. Pretty sure about that. My mother still claims I was, and she's 92 and has little reason to lie.

But I never painted a picture about Elite. In fact I missed the original. I remember it existing, but I never played it.

I'm making up for it now.

You'd be probably surprised when many of us were born. :p

The painting is really cool though. Is it oil or you were rich enough to be able to use acrylic? It looks too well-preserved for it to be tempera.
