Elite books

Hi there!

Which books placed in Elite universe would you recomend? Seen three in book shop the other day (Gollancz ones) and wondered if they are worth buying. From which should I start? Or get something else? Have read Dark Wheel btw.

Thanks Drew. I wonder why Elite novels are listed with books about special forces. Both elite? ;) Also, is your one on paper?

I rather enjoyed Drew's "Elite: Retribution" Definitely worth the read, and I hope we see a sequel.

But I'd be remiss if I didn't plug my fan fiction ;) https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=202640&p=3138885#post3138885

The first actually takes place in the original Elite era, but other two take place in 3301.

I'd love it if I had a chance to publish an actual Elite book as well (I've got a few properly published books under my belt, so at least I have the practice ;) http://www.noahchinnbooks.com/my-books/ )

Amazon is probably the easiest way to do a comparision. Plenty of reviews for each of the books on there. :)

Cheers,

Drew.

I've purchased and read only two so far, Drew's book and Harper's And Here the Wheel. I have no reservations about recommending either.

hee hee hee!

My recommendation would be "Tales From The Frontier", but then I am a big short story fan. My only beef is that some of the stories are a little baggy, as if the authors were in a competition to see who could write the most words. Also I know you stipulated paper, but the audiobook versions of all the Fantastic books are absolutely wonderful.

Kate Russell's book, "Mostly Harmless" is a great read as well. But I should warn you it contains sex and violence... and violent sex.
