Elite / Frontier Elite Christmas Bacronym Contest

Elite Christmas Bacronym Contest

bacronymcontest_300.jpg

Ladies and Gentlemen,

To celebrate the Holiday Season we’re pleased to announce a brand new contest for Elite-fans. To be in with a chance of winning your very own Elite t-shirt we’re challenging you to write us an Elite / Space themed bacronym for the word CHRISTMAS. Extra special bonus points will be awarded to those who manage to squeeze a Christmas theme into their entry - as y’know, it’s Christmas after all! - But it’s by no means a necessity for entry.

If you’re curious about what exactly an bacronym is, you can find all the information you need to know here. Or check out our sample entry below:

“Check Hyperdrive! Remember, In Space Thargoids Move At Speed!”

When you’re ready to enter the contest, simply post your entry in this thread, on the ‘Wall’ of the Elite Facebook page or tweet it to @frontierdev on Twitter. Only entries via these three means will be accepted.

Best of luck and Happy Holidays!

Rules

- The contest is open from now until 11.59PM (UK Time) on Tuesday 22nd December, 2009. Winners will be announced on Thursday 24th December, 2009 on the Frontier Website and Forums.

- A total of 5 Winners will be selected. If you are selected as a winner you will be contacted by a member of Frontier Developments for further details about claiming your prize.

- You can enter this contest as many times as you like. All entries must be your own work.

I hate to be pedantic, but technically these are acrostics, not acronyms. ;)

I take it you've not played Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training. ;)

I was sure there would be a word for it, but I couldn't find it - and I figured for accessibility purposes people are more aware of the word 'acronym' and what it represents, and so more likely to understand what to do even if the requirement is to do the reverse :)
