Elite Community Meet in Reading has now opened. Opening Welcome speech from Vingtetun. Room getting full already, sun is out (after several lousy weeks of 'spring').... Looking to be an awesome day! EPIC Raffle this evening with tons of prizes that money can't buy with ALL profits and raffle proceeds being split between Special Effect and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

Was a great day! Nice to meet up with my 'crew', CMDR Bonehead2412 and CMDR Clopster, not forgetting CMDR Mark Thomas :) Got to chat with some good people including meeting Ed Lewis again and Paige Harvey who graced us with their presence.

Well done to those who arranged it. Glad I managed to get there.

My voice did indeed start to fail towards the end of the raffle - who would have thought that reading out a bunch of numbers off bits of paper would be so taxing! :)

Great write up - worth noting that The Boarding Crew (the pirate band) weren't cosplaying - that's THEM. All day every day - they're honest to Alvin Cornish pirates. They will be releasing some of the dates that they're playing live and we'll be sharing them. They did the music behind this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BN7H-r1uOMI

Next year they've promised to bring the full band.
