Elite: Dangerous Alpha back in stock in the store!

I think that quite a few people decided use the latest moment to join Alpha. It was announced that Alpha sales will end on Monday so some people might have planned the purchase for evening. However sales were closed during the day, leaving them out of Alpha. This might have caused lots of complaints and a little extension of Alpha sales.

"Due to high customer demand, we are extending the availability to buy Elite: Dangerous Alpha until Tuesday 29th April at 9am BST."

If you can't afford it, don't, it just gives you extra month. If you can - it is all about having extra month and start playing alpha 4 maybe even this week. Up to you :)

That's the thing. If it's all just about the extra month, then I'm happy with my Premium Beta.

Beside, by the time the Alpha backers get the preview, I will be out of town...so, the wait is a little excruciating. My only fear is not having gotten the feel of buying and selling stuff, along with modifying loadouts and getting used to all the weapon setups. Alpha 1.1 can only do so much.

Doesn't matter. They need to be consistent on these things...this is most likely a bug or maybe an issue with people ordering wrong items over the weekend and therefore they have opened up access again so these customers can buy the correct item.

If it's option A then they need to fix it ASAP. If it's option B they really need to find another way of handling these kind of issues.

My 2p...

IF you wanted alpha you probably should have gotten it back in December where you would have had 4-5 months of unique access.

Right now for half the price you still get access to Alpha 1.1 for a few weeks, and then you will get Beta at the end of May anyway.

Obviously the value of money is different for different people, but if you get beta instead, that is £100 you could put towards a HOTAS flight stick, or a Rift DK2, or a Track IR (or..... etc etc etc)

Thanks guys. It does seem a little too late at this point to spend that kind of quid just to get some Zelada and perhaps early space trading when eventually it will all be in the P. Beta. I guess I'll put my $145 to good use with either a new HOTAS or whatnot.

I just hope P. Beta backers feedback will be taken under the same consideration as Alpha backers.

The extended sale is very tempting. The Space Sim Renaissance cannot come soon enough.

No, it's not a bug. I suspect that for some people upgrade to alpha has been...a little broken. So they left it open for few hours on Tuesday's morning.

Ok, that's slightly better...at least there is info, but once again...they need to stay consistent on these matter IMO. A deadline is a deadline. I hate stores who has "one-time-deals for a limited time only" that in practice keeps on going forever.

They're probabaly alpha testing for the eventual "Steam Pre-Order" once the game formally releases :)
