Discussion Elite Dangerous API - What ever happened to that Idea?

Sometime back Frontier was thinking about doing an API developers could tap into. Did anything ever come of this or did it just drop off the end of the planet, never to be heard of again.....

The api is called "Player Journal" or "Commander's Log", you can find the thread and the documentation here:

The Elite Dangerous API does not exist. The Journal Log is not an API.
