Community Event / Creation Elite Dangerous Audio Books

Hey all,

I know nothing about the fiction of ED except that there is some.

Is there a beginning of the lore? A particular book that is a good place to start? Specifically in audio book format so I have something fun to listen to as I grind for my vulture?

EDIT: I have since noticed an official fiction forum and posted this inquiry there instead. Apologies.

The original piece of Elite fiction was called The Dark Wheel, by Robert Holdstock, and came with the very first game in the Eighties. You can find it here: http://www.frontierastro.co.uk/Fiction/elitefiction.html

I believe Executive Producer Michael Brookes has written a sequel called Elite: Legacy, which is just out now. And several experienced and first-time authors published official books. If you like thrillers, then Allen Stroud's book, Lave Revolution, is worth a read. If you like Terry Pratchett type stuff, then try Docking Is Difficult, which had me laughing out loud on several occasions. And there are several others I've not read yet. If you go to Amazon and put Elite in the search bar, you'll find them all.

I was just doing exactly that, actually, and found those you suggested. Don't suppose if you know if there are audio book versions? I can check myself, but I'm on my phone at work which makes it more difficult. I'll check later though
