I saw other posts reporting much more activity and CMDRs interaction since 1.04 patch. I can confirm. Im playing since a month now and it felt like playing solo doing my usual trade route. Saw some npcs being just to keep fun at bay but rarely encountered CMDRs.
But today...
What is going on in this game !!?! XD Commanders EVERYWHERE, more npcs, more npcs being dumb and blocking hangars exit, MOAR CMDRs !! I can tell you son... this game is now very well alive.
Also on the downside... Never have i been interdicted for the past month doing my trade route but guess what ? Of course, more CMDRs also means Pirates !! I got interdicted for the first time by a CMDR.
Here's how it happened: Got pulled over by this space pirate in an ASP but was unaware yet that it was a CMDR so my logic tells me to run and so i do. Obviously the pirate responds by shooting at me. Within 5 seconds my B4 shields and half my hull integrity was gone. There happens the magic, The pirate starts to talk to me: ''Stop you ship or get destroyed !'' So i stop my ship and let me tell you it wasnt much of a choice. 43% hull integrity, Cockpit window cracking slowly, losing cabin atmosphere. Things couldnt go worst at this point. So i was about to beg for mercy when the servers crashed ! So quicly i get back on to find my ship at 93% hull and 100% shields. Hell that was good news. I checked on my 1,400,000cr cargo to make sure it was still there and it was. So there we are in the middle of nowhere having a face-off with a pirate. So i talked the CMDR into having mercy and maybe cut out a deal. I offer him to drop 100 of my cargo to buy some time thinking of way out of there. I played the newbie trying to find the drop cargo button and it bought me a good minute. I wasn't in combat anymore so i thought maybe i could jump to a star real quick. So i take all of my courage and boost my way out of there but im getting shot at. Jumping in 4....*Shields Offline...3.....2.....20% hull integrity.....1..... Swoooooooshhh. I made it, alive with all my cargo.
I almost died but you know i had real REAL fun for the first time in this game.
Maybe it will bring me into combat soon.
