So, is "PUBLIC_TEST_SERVER_64" really the one and only folder left on the drive to delete to get rid of this beta data garbage? Naturally, the "best" ED Launcher didn't deleted it after 3.0 upgrade is finished ....

HELP!
I'm trying to download this upgrade but I keep getting this error:

"Unhandled Exception: Access to the path
'C:\Users\My Name\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\elite-dangerous65.exe' is denied."

and then the download stops. I'm on W10 and have granted R/W access to the Users folder and all sub-folders and files.

Anyone have a clue what I need to do?

Hi Cmdr Kekkonshiki, I don't know for sure if this will fix it, or why it has happened. But you could try uninstalling Elite Dangerous and download the installer again.

You might want to back up your bindings file before uninstalling, its in here:
%APPDATA%\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings
i.e.
C:\Users\My Name\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings

Uninstall, delete the folders "Frontier Developments" and "Frontier_Developments" within the AppData\Local folder

Run the installer again, let it download the game and go from there.

Find the launcher, right click, go to the 'compatability' tab and select 'run as administrator'

In, it works, some minor (very) tweaks to ship stats that will be upgraded with the new system anyway. Cash there, mats there, ships there, and my coffee cup is still on my dash ;) Thanks, FD! Now just send a note to my wife to tell her why I'm flying around so much in deep space.

Hey guys, it seems that most supply missions of value now require a wing or outrageously large ship. I play only solo mode so this update has really ruined things for me.

Come to think of it - these team missions don't make any sense in solo play mode. I am dubious as to why are they there in solo mode at all? And why so many... there is barely any other missions available at all...

(please don't suggest I should play online game - that's not the topic)

Watching paint dry...

Started download at 8:00 pm. As of 10:00 am have 19 hours to go... I need to move somewhere where I can get faster internet...
