Hi CMDR's,

I have just been browsing some of the official licensed Elite books on Amazon.

Anybody read any of them? Recommendations?

Just started Reclamation by Drew Wager only about 6 chapters good read so far also read The Dark Wheel both add some more depth to the universe

Tried Reclamation.

Really didn't like it much, I'm afraid. I found the writing style too clinical. Almost like a news reader relaying events and didn't really convey any real emotion. After the first 4 or 5 chapters I found I didn't care about any character (either way) and couldn't really care less what happened to them.

Cheers all, i've downlaoded - Elite: Tales From The Frontier.

Something for me to read during the quiet times at work. Will let you know what i thought of it once i've read it.

ahhh, thanks! I've also just finished an actual Elite novel recently and am looking into applying to licence it. If I do, I'm going to go back to the Muckabouts and revise them so they are more consistent with the lore :)

I can recommend Reclamation and Tales from the Frontier.

I started to read Kate's book, but it didn't grab me for some reason... The rest I didn't read yet.

Dark Wheel still had something really special about it for me. I enjoyed Michael Brookes book "Elite: :Legacy" too. I think the version I got off the store had a couple of proof reading issues that have since been fixed.

reclamation is good. I didn't like the main charterer but she made an appearance in game during Distant Worlds.
