Hardware & Technical Elite Dangerous compatible with Wingman Attack 2 Joystick?

I intend to buy Elite Dangerous before the sale ends at Steam on January 2nd if someone here can confirm that the Logitech Wingman Attack 2 joystick is compatible with it. Will i need to compensate for the 6 buttons it is limited to? How?

Please answer me if you have personal knowledge. No need to suggest a better joystick to buy. I'll buy the game only if my Wingman Attack 2 will work with the game.

Thanks

Bett

To the best of my knowledge, any joystick that is recognised by your operating system will work in Elite Dangerous. Even if in the options it is as a basic joystick.
The options menu is very comprehensive allowing you to use virtually every thing from keyboard and mouse up to keyboard, mouse, joystick, throttle and pedals. They don't have to be from same maker.
You can set up the options and then test in the training parts, wash and repeat until you are satisfied.

Also before your 1st flight there is a flight checklist to go through which checks the basics. This is also an option that can be applied in the cockpit menus.

Good Hunting.
