elite dangerous deluxe edition or eurotruck sim2 plus going east and scandanavia?

Both have lements i want. Elite dangerous has you set locations and just travel there, and while it probably doesn't have it as good as eurotruck, its got fights, and planets, etc. Eurotruck doesn't have space battles, but i heard its fun and peaceful to just drive a little and do tasks. I also posted this same question on the other games forum just in case people are biased.

I have both (a solution as well) but there is NO question in my mind having "played" both. Elite!!

ETS2 with add-ons and mods, and it always feels like work. There are short haul jobs that give the enjoyment of maneuvering a semi. And the occasional free drive, but it always comes back to "I'm working"

Grinding to rank is as close as Elite gets and if in your mind you're good at role playing, it ain't so bad. I even take breaks on the occasional "TIPS" missions and CGs.

I have both but unless the truck simulator is really your thing - which I'm guessing it isn't since you didn't get it yet - there's no contest in which I'd choose of the two. Elite all the way.

I would say Euro truck. Its finished game that work well (only few bugs), with well thought out, designed and delivered game play experience. While elite is opposite of that. But the driving is only thing it has euro truck has and if you don't like it you will not like that game. I would buy euro truck from steam, play for 1.5 h and if i didn't like it i would refund it (steam refund) and buy elite. You can find out if you enjoy what euro truck has to offer in 1.5 hours but most flaws of elite will become apparent after you have learned how to play and that will take much longer than the 2 hours steam give you to play.

The wow factor of Elite take sometime to wear off but the if you fall in love with euro truck it has infinite amount of content because it has large modding community while with elite you are stuck with decisions and content made by frontier.

In vr...ets2 all the way...especially with a steering wheel and pedal setup...

The a to b cargo hauling us fun because there are things to do on the journey...i don't point my truck again the destination and sit there...no i have to change gear, indicate, use mirrors, admire the changing scenery...actually pick up my cargo aswell as drop it off...a physical trailer of cargo..and not txf telling me to imagine I'm delivering generators ect.

Ets....go for it.

If what you plan to mainly do is hauling, then ETS2 is a superior game.
Hauling in Elite is ok only if you got another screen to do stuff on it, without that it's a snoozefest, and a punishing one at that.

If you want to fight and explore unseen stuff, Elite is the best choice without a doubt.
