I know this is totally unrelated to Elite's lore but this is something I wanted to do since I knew Elite Dangerous was in the works. One of my greatest inspirations, as a kid, was Carl Sagan thanks to his timeless masterpiece "Cosmos". And the more I got to know about the man as I grew up the more I grew to admire his figure, his admiration for the universe, and his worries about how fragile we are in the context of the Cosmos, and how easily we could kill ourselves in an act of folly.
One of this greatest speeches ever (in my opinion) was Pale Blue Dot, part of a book he wrote about the famous picture taken from the Voyager probes from the fringes of the solar sistem - where Earth can barely be seen as a point, a pale, blue, dot. Our true size in the solar system context. How small we really are in the context of the Universe, yet how self important we feel, and how easily and ready are we to throw ourselves to each other's throats for what in the end are stupid reasons.
Most people who have uploaded videos to youtube have done so showing the great looks you get of Jupiter, how incredible it is to travel through the rings of Saturn, the beauty of it. I wanted to do something different. And I did this:

It's only a humble and poor attempt of a tribute to one truly admirable man, and his work. But it's the best I could put together.
