Elite Dangerous (Epic Games Client) and GeForce Now

Sadly it is not possible for Players using the Epic Games Client through GeForce Now, to participate at the Attack on Titan Cojico. GeForce Now is not Patching the Epic Games Client. Could someone in charge from here push this to the Nvidia Staff ?
Others and me have posted this in the GeforceNow Forums, i gave Feedback within the GeForce Now Client and now don´t know what to do further....

Thx

I'm using GeForce and have a question: Can you not just log in to the Nvidia page, search for updated drivers and download it? It's supposed to be for your video drivers and I don't think Epic Games Client should have anything to say about video card drivers, would they? Just curious.

Users who have bought Elite Dangerous over Steam can play, the Steam-Client was patched yesterday right after release, only Users who have bought ED over Epic Games can not play, yesterdays Patch is not applied for Epic Clients at the moment..

A Friend of mine bought ED in a Steam-Sale. He was able to log in yesterday through GeForce Now, Only Users who have bought ED at Epic Games cannot. When i start the Game through GeForce Now, the Launcher Pops up and says "Update". But the yesterday Update should be applied from Nvidia to their System....

Maybe a dumb question, but have you tried shutting down GeForce Now and using the Epic Games launcher alone?
I would love to play without Geforce now, but my system just barely meets the minimum system requirements. Otherwise i have a good Internet-Connection and paying GeForce now 10€ per month suits me better than buying a new System for 1500€ which will be outdated in 2 or 3 years...

Gotcha. I do undestand that dilemma. I've started assembling my own desktops so that I know what everything is and can keep it running longer by swapping out dead or obsolete components one at a time. It's still a substantial expense, though.

I'd have thought that they would be obliged (by their own terms and conditions) to keep games up to date, no? I'd be asking for a partial refund.

Unfortunately, every time there is an update on ED, I have to raise Customer Support Ticket on NVidia as I use it with Epic and using GFN.

Same comments every time and same response every time-takes 3 or 4 days to get the Update patched.

I raise Nvidia Cust Support tickets and supply Feed back 'Issues' each day until we get the 'We are currently patching this game please try again in a few hours' message, after which you can press 'PLAY' and get in to the game.

It really sucks as Steam players get it almost immediately after Upgrade Release.

Nvidia's actual customer service team seem ok, they respond to tickets and ask sensible questions, but as soon as it gets to "the relevant team has been notified" nothing happens for days. I seemed to get a more senior CS person on one ticket, so I've left that open and just update it when a new patch comes out. The closest to an explanation I've had is that some game client updates are trickier than others. It's frustrating since on two occasions this year the Epic client HAS updated perfectly same-day.

I contacted Epic support once, to ask if they had a specific game client update process for GFN (i.e. something that might delay GFN deployment while leaving direct Epic users happy), but just got a general if enthusiastic response saying that they worked very hard to make sure all their games were "comfortable". I didn't follow up.

For completeness, I also contacted Frontier support to ask about their client update process for Steam and Epic, they said they pushed out client updates to both those platforms as soon as their own changes were completed.

ROFL. That's... an exceptionally poor reply 😳 (and soooo many words to say so little).

At least, I'm assuming that it's Nvidia that still needs to do something here - presumably Frontier and Epic have already done what they need to do, and Epic players using their own PCs can already play the game, right? In other words, the actual patch is already released, and all the Nvidia muppets need to do is install it?

I am assuming its only a few of us left on Epic AND Gfn as if it were 100's or 1000's it would be much more of an issue.
I got Epic in the free give away some years ago, but only need GFN as my laptop is def not powerful enough to run ED since I transferred from PS4.
Ah well, maybe one day!!!

PS I would def get ED if it went on PS5 as I love consoles - they just work - and dont need continual tweeks/upgrades to HW etc.
