Elite dangerous freezes and reboots on Xbox one

Starting after the update my game freezes and drops me to the home page. Most recently at a checkpoint. As soon as my ship scans something, a nav thing or ship, it freezes.

I have power cycled my console already. What's next?

Try to delete the game and saved data, clear the cache on your Xbox by pushing and holding the Xbox button on your Xbox. Restart and install

If this not helping you out, you have to wait until Frontier fixes the problems, that may happen in this year...

Only delete data from the console. Dont wipe your save from game menu on title screen.

been having same issue and clearing cache made no difference....

might have to try the saved game data....

also noticed that about 50% of the time this happens restarting the game causes the xbox fan to spin up for about 30 seconds

Does it buzz for 10-15 seconds, then crash? We were getting a lot of those buzz crashes in one buggy release, I've forgotten which one. I got a buzz crash last week, first time in this version. I don't recall if there was a temporary fix for it, just had to wait till FD released a bug fix.

Don't worry, the Xbox just cooling your cpu. A cpu will almost go up 100 % when starting a program up.

If you want to delete saved game, also do it on the cloud, you not gonna lose any saved game, because Frontier have a copy. You do need to set up settings again. Remember not do delete saved inside the game.

was more strange that only happens in Elite.... might hold off on deleting the saves and see what happens with the next Xbox Alpha preview update

I had the same problem 3/4 times yesterday (1st time) the freeze/crash even hard reset the xbox so hopefully a fix soon. I have noticed that it only happens in open or solo and when i was in populated areas such as the BG in Maia.

Not sure if a bug report has been placed by other members.
