Better yet. Wait until Horizons has launched on Xbox so you can land on planets during the exploration. I wouldn't mind coming along, then. Right now I am doing the DW and it sucks that PC can land but Xbox can't.

I wouldn't want to delay it that much, was thinking about 2-3 weeks after DW has finished.
They're visible in the galaxy map but obviously unable to be visited. The map cursor won't even leave the Milky Way.
Hello fellow cmdrs I would be interested in this expedition am currently at witch head at the moment
I'm working on taking my Cutter to Sag A, then to Beagle point if it'll let me. I won't be able to go beyond that so I'll begin exploring properly afterwards before returning to the bubble. I guess I'll be gone for a couple of months at the least.
I was thinking of taking the corvette but im unsure now
It depends on what you're going for. If you're going for the exploration, the views and the adventure into the unknown, then you could take the Corvette by all means, that's why I'm out here in a Cutter. If you're after a fast journey then you'll want to stick to the ASP and Anaconda for the jump range.
At the mo I'm using the conda just for the jump range and fuel capacity but I hate the nose.

I am in the process of sorting out the route and gathering screenshots to put the map route together I hope to have that information done and posted within the next month.
Will there be a seperate site dedicated/uses to organize and communication for this trip or will all information be posted on this forum through a single/few topic/s?

So you're looking to go the left way round as if your looking at the gal map from sol towards begal point?
Iv just set off for the Eagle nebula in my mk3 cobra for some indepth exploring maybe a visit to the neutron feilds after... totally personal im not keeping track of my route nor progress I mean, but if this kicks off and you're heading my way I would love to join up and run the edge of the galaxy I was upset when I missed DW I only found out after about waypoint 5-6 by then I wouldn't have been able to catch up...

Once I have this organised a bit better and have screenshots and images ill probably update the original post. I was looking to go left towards the bubble nebula and then across to the outer rim which would be ridden up to the core and then on to beagle point.
