Patch Notes Update Elite: Dangerous Game Preview update 1.0.0.7 rolling out

Greetings Commanders,

We've released an update this morning for the Xbox One Elite: Dangerous Game Preview, you can find the changes below.

Client Side updates:

  • Fixed crash in supercruise
  • Crash fix for drone authority transfer
  • Optimised shadows
  • Audio optimisations
  • Fix some account switching issues
  • Enabled compute FXAA shader
  • Cleaner network shutdown process
  • Fix low skilled ships appearing in RES points and conflict zones
  • Added overhead field to power overview page
  • Make headlook axes customisable on XB1, and the pitch is invertible
  • Rename the Main Menu's "Start" to "Full Game", for clarity
  • Various galaxy map usability improvements for controllers
  • Focusable UI elements now have a stronger focus indicator - including the whole left panel / popup panel themselves
  • Separate mesh for the galaxy map UI to fit within the safeframe
  • Default is the default controls preset

Server side updates:

  • Fix number of visited systems statistic not updating
  • Fix incorrect part-exchange and insurance rebuy costs for ships
  • Reliability improvement in local starport news

EXCELLENT!

Looks like you guys addressed a good many of the more frustrating issues, so I am definitely looking forward to checking out all these changes and tweaks over the course of the day today.

THANK YOU for providing us with the LOOK "Y" axis INVERT! :D Now we can FINALLY look around inside our ship without having to "think" about the "it". ;)

Didn't see any mention of frame rate improvements or fixes to the audio distortions? I guess those issues are taking more time to sort out than these other things eh?

Either way... THIS IS GREAT! :D There was some concern that the XBL certification process was going to bog down your ability to provide the XB1 test crew with timely updates, but here we are! The first title update and the game hasn't been out for 2 weeks yet!

I think everyone can most definitely roll with this rate of progress! :)

Sweet!!!!!

Looks like a lot lot of nice fixes going in. Hopefully this will make the game run a bit smother.

Just one one question though will the change to the RES/Combat Zones just in craze the AI difficulty or will there be more wanted ships in the sites as well?
 
Thanks Team, great job on the port to console. - Any indication of when the friend/wing/party system will be implemented?
One of the only bug bears right now is trying to match servers with friends.

Given the PC version has had performance issues for a year and is occurring also on the Mac and now the Xbox, I wouldn't hold your breath for a fix in the "soon" timescale.

Question for Brett:

Can i ask why xbox videos and screenshot dont show up in the xbox activity Feed?

Ive got so many great shots and video i want to share with my friends?

Is this a decision because the game is in Preview phase?

Becaus it looks great and we want to show it off :)

Sorry, there's still quite a big issue not in these patch notes...

You've forgotten to rename it from "Game Preview" to "Ultra Limited Tutorial Demo, you can only play for an hour per account"
 
Will we be able to sell any ships yet or will the ugly bug "Cannot connect to transaction server" still be present? Will the insurance money making glitch bug still be there?
